Summer in the New Forest

In the summer there are lots of activities to tempt you. Enjoy sailing on the Solent, scavenging on the shingle beaches, cycling through shady ancient woodland, walking across gentle heath and picnicing on grassy lawns.

The summer wildlife puts on a show to dazzle your senses.  Listen to the stonechat knocking out its song, smell the sweet scent of gorse flowers and see the stunning pink flowers of ling blanketing the heathland.
